City Council veteran Jan Perry did what everyone expected her to do and filed the papers to form a fundraising committee for a 2013 mayoral bid. Nice and quiet, no contrived media event (as if one is needed two years before the election.) Perry was the chief of staff to 9th district councilwoman Rita Walters until her own 2001 election to succeed the boss. Perry was reelected in 2005 and 2009. Daily News, City Maven
