And by cold, we just mean L.A. cold. With a front coming through earlier in the weekend, the snow level could fall as low as 500 feet. That, folks, could mean a dusting across the entire floor of the Valley, for instance. "This storm could be a once in 20 or 30 year storm for parts of California for how cold it will be and how low accumulating snow will get," says the respected Ken Clark at AccuWeather.com. Mostly it will be just a very chilled rain in Los Angeles, and even that probably not during the Oscars on Sunday. "As fun as it is when it rains on celebrities at the Oscars, this year it looks like we will merely see the pencil-thin starlets shiver," says weather-geek blogger Emily Green — who also notes the likelihood of snow in Las Vegas.
