Rich Lederer is the Los Angeles baseball blogger whose seven-year campaign to set the record straight led to ex-Angel Bert Blyleven's election to the Hall of Fame this month. Thirty minutes before the election became public, Blyleven showed a lot of class and called Lederer with the news. The pitcher also offered to let Lederer stand beside him at the Hall of Fame ceremony in upstate New York this summer. The two had never met, though — until a couple of days later when Lederer flew to Florida and surprised Blyleven at a banquet. "Make no mistake about it," Lederer blogs at Baseball Analysts, his site. "I've had a fun-tastic two weeks."
