Arnold may be living on another planet

esq-arnold-schwarzenegger.jpgEx-governor Arnold Schwarzenegger told Esquire (in a short interview running in the February issue) that he went in determined to fight the hard battles no one else would fight. OK, I guess that's within tolerance on the spin politicians tell about themselves. Then he goes on to declare victory on the key battles. Huh? No pushback from Esquire.

In 2005 they spent $160 million against me because I wanted to reform pensions, education, and the budget system. And now finally we got those things....We got the pension reform, we got the budget reform, we did the things that we wanted to do.

So I guess everything's OK now in California, fiscally speaking. That's a relief.
