L.A. Times music writer Todd Martens blogs at Tumblr about a battle of wills with his neighbor over parking — and ultimately having the guy's girlfriend's car towed away. "See, here was the problem: You would allow your girlfriend to park in the fire lane," he writes. "A bit of a safety risk, no? Yet aside from hastening the death of all of your neighbors in the event of a ‘Backdraft’-like disaster, your girlfriend’s car made it nearly impossible for me to get mine in and out of the garage."
