The DA's Public Integrity Division confirms that a citizen complaint alleging that Councilman Bernard Parks took his property tax homeowner exemption on a home outside his district — and the city — is being reviewed. That review is already several months old without turning into an Alarcon-style investigation. "I talked to the D.A.'s office two weeks ago," says Bernard Parks, Jr., the councilman's spokesman. "They said basically they were convinced he lives where he says he lives. There is no investigation."
