The president and partner of The Rogers Group died last night. Eric Moses, president of the Public Relations Society of America L.A. chapter, has put out a nice statement to his board:
Dear Board Members,I have some sad news to report. Lynne Doll, president and partner of The Rogers Group, one of the most respected public relations professionals in Los Angeles passed away last night. For those of you who have known her through the years and knew of her courageous health battles, I'm sure this news still comes as a shock. In this week's LA Business Journal, Ron Rogers, founder and Chief Executive of the Rogers Group, was asked, What was the best decision of your career? His response: "Hiring Lynne Doll, my partner."
As a board, we should find a way to recognize Lynne for her contributions to our profession. Please let me know if you have any thoughts. When I hear information about a funeral or memorial service I will pass it along.
Best,
Eric
Here's that Rogers interview in the LABJ. Nothing up at the Rogers website or on Doll's blog there.
* Noted: "Hers is a devastating loss for many reasons," Doll's colleague Denis Wolcott blogs.
