Mossberg stays with the iPhone, despite AT&T

walt-mossberg-wsj.jpgWalt Mossberg, the Wall Street Journal's consumer guide to personal technology, tried out the updated iPhone 4 for six weeks even after the reception issue was identified. His conclusion: "I still believe it is, overall, the best device in its class...the iPhone 4 does better than the 3GS for me in decent coverage. But I still wouldn’t advise adopting it as your primary phone if you live, work or travel in areas with poor AT&T reception..." But isn't that almost everywhere?

NYT media columnist David Carr's take, via Twitter: "yes, #iphone 4 is bee's knees sez @waltmossberg. cept that part about making phone calls."
