Where in L.A. Anthony Bourdain ate tonight

The TV host and book-hawking chef told a packed house tonight at Royce Hall that he's pulling for the Lakers tomorrow because he's bitter about Boston's Red Sox depriving his Yankees of the title a few years back. He had nice things to say about L.A.'s ethnic food culture and about Jonathan Gold (while skewering Alice Waters and Gwyneth Paltrow), and also revealed which signature Los Angeles eatery he enjoyed before heading to UCLA and taking the stage. In-N-Out sign

Not so surprising. He's a meat guy, and he said earlier today on KPCC's "Patt Morrison" that two of his favorite Los Angeles stops are In-N-Out and Philippe's. Bourdain was also at KCRW today taping a guest DJ segment, according to Evan Kleiman of "Good Food." If nothing else, he sure knows how to pack a book tour schedule.
