Jerry Clark, journalist

Friends of longtime Los Angeles journalist Jerry Clark are saying he died yesterday, possibly of a heart attack. Clark was chairman of the Old Farts Society, a group of former Los Angeles Times newsroom employees, and worked recently with the Southern California Sports Broadcasters. He was a former president of the Los Angeles Press Club and as a reporter went back to the Los Angeles Mirror, an afternoon newspaper that was discontinued by the Times in 1962.
