Irene Hirano Inouye, the founding CEO and president of the Japanese American National Museum in Little Tokyo from 1988 to 2008, has been elected the next chair of the Ford Foundation. She stepped down at JANM with her marriage to U.S. Senator Daniel K. Inouye of Hawaii.
