L.A. Times Hollywood writer jumps to Hollywood

The FX channel has picked up the pilot of "Outlaw Country," a crime thriller and family drama set in Nashvile written by the husband and wife team of Josh Goldin and Rachel Abramowitz. Goldin wrote and directed last year's film "Wonderful World," starring Matthew Broderick. Abramowitz is a movie writer at the Los Angeles Times who filed from Cannes last week and had a co-byline on the Janice Min-to-THR story this week. She emailed colleagues yesterday that she's ankling the newsroom to try her hand at TV:

Hey Friends,

As many of you know, I’m leaving the Los Angeles Times after nine years! FX is making the pilot “Outlaw Country” which I wrote with my husband. I’m very excited to step off into the future!
