Joe Adalian just joined the Wrap last June, but he's taking his address book and his TV MoJoe blog (originally started at TV Week) to New York Magazine's entertainment site Vulture. Anne Thompson at IndieWire couches the move as an adverse indicator for The Wrap, which she says "has been seeking additional investment and potential partners. The move suggests that Adalian felt more secure (and presumably, well-paid) moving to a more established media entity." New York Vulture, which is gearing up, had previously hired Claude Brodesser-Akner to cover the film industry.
Noted: Nikki Finke is blunter about The Wrap, claiming that arch-rival Sharon Waxman's site is having "terrible money problems."
* Update: The Wrap's editor Sharon Waxman says that Adalan's blog TV MoJoe will be staying with her site.
