David Poland's Hollywood blog debuted Sept. 5, 2004 and with this entry today has reached 5,000 posts — with more than 140,000 amassed comments. In post number 4,999, he observes and elaborates that Hollywood killed Corey Haim — and earlier parses that Variety editor's memo on how all the changes and cutbacks at the trade daily "won't be noticed by readers." On a separate blog, Poland has also put up what's now a pretty deep collection of video conversations with actors, directors, producers and others around Hollywood, including a sit-down last month with Kathryn Bigelow of "The Hurt Locker."
Add Variety: Mark Lacter on the lawsuit by the producers of "Iron Cross."
