Shuttle booms possible tonight *

Bad weather in Florida may take precedence over our own dodgy weather, possibly forcing the space shuttle Endeavor to land at Edwards Air Force Base late tonight. NASA officials have yet to decide whether to bring her down tonight or take their chances that Monday's weather will be better. There are two landing windows tonight: gliding in over Malibu and landing on Edwards' runway 22 at 10:25 p.m., or coming in more northward over the Lompoc area for a midnight landing. In either case, the sonic booms would precede touchdown by a couple of minutes.

* NASA update: Nope, going to Florida.
