Correction o' the day, NYT edition

Cintra Wilson's takedown a couple of weeks ago of celebrity dresser Rita Watnick and her Beverly Hills shop Lily et Cie was entertaining on several levels. Watnick was called "notoriously prickly" and her store guilty of "some of the most unpleasant service this side of France." Alas, Wilson got one key thing wrong. From the correction in the weekend NYT:

The Critical Shopper column on Jan. 14, about Lily et Cie in Los Angeles, referred to a dog as “omnipresent” at the store. That information was outdated and erroneous; according to the owner, the dog, a Lhasa apso named Trouble, died some time ago. The reference to the dog was based on earlier published accounts of the store and its owner. It should not have been included in the column without being verified.

The correction, by the way, errs in placing the shop in "Los Angeles."
