Obits: Guy Day, Gerald McCabe

Guy Day teamed with fellow advertising executive Jay Chiat in 1968 to co-found L.A.'s Chiat/Day advertising agency. He died in his sleep in Texas at age 79, says the L.A. Times.

Also, Gerald McCabe, the founder of McCabe’s Guitar Shop in Santa Monica, died Sunday in Eugene, Oregon, after suffering a heart attack. He was 82.
