ESPN kicks off in L.A.

ESPN's new Los Angeles website does have, as rumored, columnist J.A. Adande, plus former Daily News sports staffers Tony Jackson and Ramona Shelburne, Steve Mason and John Ireland from ESPN radio, and the LAT's Kamenetzky brothers on podcasts. No sign, however, of Jon Weisman, the Times' Dodgers blogger whose name was mentioned in last week's report on a staff list. The Times' sports desk is losing two assistant copy desk chiefs and a designer to ESPN, though, according to sources. And former LAT sports writer Robyn Norwood has a story on the site about the Ducks, and gets her name spelled wrong for what probably won't be the last time. ESPN columnist Eric Neel is the site's top editor.
