What about the HerEx building?

Examiner 1915
All this talk of the 20th anniversary of the Los Angeles Herald Examiner closing led Curbed LA to ask, sensibly, what has become of the plans to renovate the old Julia Morgan-designed newspaper building at Broadway and 11th? Turns out the project is still stalled, per architect Brenda Levin. The real estate downturn is the culprit, apparently. "The building is still owned by the Hearst Co, which is the good news," says Levin. "But plans for renovation/reuse are on hold."
