Looks like Janice Hahn, who has served on the LA City Council for the last eight years, has set her sights on Sacramento again. From Phil Willon at the LAT:
Los Angeles City Councilwoman Janice Hahn has established an exploratory campaign committee for a possible run for California lieutenant governor in 2010.Hahn has served on the council since 2001, representing a district that stretches from San Pedro to Watts, and has one of the most recognizable political names in Los Angeles; she’s the daughter of the late Los Angeles County Supervisor Kenneth Hahn and the sister of former Los Angeles Mayor James Hahn, who is now a superior court judge.
Willon sees Hahn's biggest challengers as a pair of state senators, one of whom has quite the jump on fundraising, with $872,000 in his campaign account. Details in LA Now.
