I got home from dinner and found a couple of emails pointing out that there's a bylined story about the Chino prison riot on the front page of New York Times website, but nothing visible at the Los Angeles Times website. I found an earlier LAT bylined story on L.A. Now; can't tell if it made the main page. It points up the quandary that newspaper web editors face: whether to play to the hardest-core news consumers on the web, or the larger group of readers that may only drop in once on a Sunday looking for the news.
