John Beard to anchor in Buffalo

The former Fox 11 anchor reports on his website that he accepted a job anchoring the 5-7 and 11 am newscasts at WGRZ-TV in Buffalo. He writes:

The station has a progressive management team in place that believes in professional news coverage and community service, that was the most important selling point. In all honesty, my salary is much less than it was in LA…but it’s never been about the money for me, it was always about being involved in a newscast that I was proud of…and that’s a feeling I haven’t had for a long time.

Beard has also been a prolific tweeter of late. Lots of TV news lately: earlier today, KNBC news director Bob Long announced he's getting out.
