Hahn swears in Hahn

Los Angeles Superior Court Judge James K. Hahn — yes, the former mayor — did the honors yesterday as his younger sister, Janice Hahn, took the oath of office for her new term on the City Council. Ramona Hahn, their mother and the wife of the late political legend Kenneth Hahn, was on the veranda with them at the historic Banning Residence Museum in Wilmington. I'm told that Janice caught some by surprise when her introduction of the VIPs included "my future sister-in-law Michelle" — indicating Judge Hahn's ex-deputy, friend and apparently fiancee, Michelle Fleenor. Incoming City Attorney Carmen Trutanich gave remarks and the attendees from City Hall included council members Tom LaBonge, Jan Perry, Bernard Parks and Jose Huizar, as well as retired City Hall shaker Ron Deaton and Sheriff Lee Baca.

Noted: Councilman Bill Rosendahl was scheduled to hold his swearing-in today at the Mar Visa Farmers Market. Trutanich gets sworn in Wednesday at City Hall with a $100 lunch to follow at Pete's at 4th and Main (and an event that evening at Ports o' Call.) Incoming Controller Wendy Greuel is having a pre-swearing in celebration in the Valley Tuesday night at CBS Studio Center.
