Looks like an opening on the airport board

During Monday night's fundraiser for Judy Chu at the Daphna not Richard Ziman home, city airport commissioner Christine Essel was pitched to the crowd as a candidate to succeed Wendy Greuel in the 2nd city council district. Essel, the former chair of the Community Redevelopment Agency and Paramount executive, would have to resign from the airport commission to run. People around her sound convinced that Assemblyman Paul Krekorian is also running in CD2, and that ex-Assemblywoman Cindy Montanez is definitely not.
