Blessing of the animals

Dogs, horses, rabbits, cats, turtles, birds — even a few lizards and a snake — got along famously at Saturday's traditional Blessing of the Animals at Olvera Street and the old Plaza. The hardest part of the day for some of the pets was getting doused by Cardinal Roger Mahony. Check out the short LA Observed video — no political speeches included.
