Wounded LAPD officer quits department

The Hollenbeck station veteran who said he was shot in the shoulder by two men outside his home in East Los Angeles in January has left the LAPD after being relieved of duty due to a criminal investigation. KFI's Eric Leonard breaks it:

Anthony A. Razo, 49, who worked in the Criminal Conspiracy unit at the LAPD's Hollenbeck station, signed the resignation papers at his home, the sources say, just a few feet away from where Razo claims he was accosted by two young men with shaved heads January 31, who supposedly grabbed Razo's gun and used it to shoot him in the shoulder.

"He is a former employee," confirmed LAPD Lt. John Romero,
who added, "we don't comment on personnel investigations."
