LA Observed is safe to visit -- readers coming in on IE are having zero trouble. But Google is being slow to update its alert about yesterday's malware script, which was real and has been found and nuked. Until Google clears our name, Firefox and Safari will continue throwing up warnings when you visit — the browsers don't actually detect malware, they just go by what Google's robot tells them. Getting re-cleared is a frustrating process, but Google has the power, if not the dexterity to swiftly clean up its mess. In the meantime, if you still get the warning from Firefox or Safari, I'm told it's safe to ignore it and come on in.
