Hertzberg adds a gig

Former Assembly Speaker and Los Angeles mayoral candidate Robert Hertzberg is becoming the Democrats' half of the bipartisan co-chair arrangement at the head of California Forward, which supports reform of state government. He succeeds Leon Panetta, who has gone to the Obama Administration as head of the CIA. The Republican co-chair of California Forward is Thomas McKernan. In his Facebook status, Hertzberg exclaims, "What an incredible opportunity to make California a better place," and immediately gets hit up for a job by a newly unemployed person.
