Add Obama: L.A. event on Thursday

In addition to the previously reported round of media events on Wednesday and Thursday, the White House has added what it's calling a "town hall" with President Obama at the Miguel Contreras Learning Complex near downtown. Here's the media info:

Media Pre-set: 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM Pacific (All equipment must be dropped at the site by 9:00 AM Pacific; media will not have access to their equipment from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM Pacific)

Media Access: 11:00 AM Pacific
Program Begins: 1:00 PM Pacific

Throw: 60 ft
Cable run: 500 ft.

Live truck parking: Parking on 3rd St. near the South Lucas Ave. Intersection. Sidewalk and street utilized for parking, directed on-site.

Media entrance: Doors to Gymnasium on the corner of 3rd St. and South Lucas Ave.

Ticketing Info: This event is free and open to the public but TICKETS ARE REQUIRED. A limited number of tickets will be available through an online lottery. Individuals interested in registering for this lottery should enter their contact information at www.whitehouse.gov/latownhall. Individuals will then be selected at random and contacted with event location and ticket pick-up information. Individuals who are selected will be given two tickets. The online form to register for the lottery will be available online until noon, Pacific on Tuesday, March 17th.

Media Coverage: The event is open to the press. For credentials, please email media_affairs@who.eop.gov. All media must RSVP by 4:00 PM EST, Tuesday, March 17. All names submitted for credentials must be accurate and reflect the identification media presents upon arrival.
