Rumors have been swirling at the Los Angeles Times about lists being pulled together for the next round of newsroom cuts, but there's been a lack of solid numbers and time frames. Today may have brought a hint. The pressroom workers' union was notified by letter that the Times "has decided to take steps to further reduce its costs including, but not limited to, layoffs....Time is of the essence and the Company intends to implement the cutbacks no later than March 15, 2009."
