Fires

At least one more hour of big winds

That's the word from the National Weather Service, which expects high winds in LA County to last until 2 p.m.. Meanwhile, fires now burn in Montecito, Sylmar, Corona and Brea. The OC Register says the large Corona fire is racing toward the neighboring city of Yorba Linda, and calls the Brea fire a "smaller blaze."

A fire in Rancho Palos Verdes, which burned 10 acres, has been knocked down.
