Fires

That smoke and fire smell

Little Tujunga fire
Brush is burning in the Little Tujunga Canyon area and threatening ranches and homes from there down into Lake View Terrace. About 1,000 people have been ordered to evacuate in Kagel and Lopez canyons, with a center for evacuees at San Fernando High School. Horses are going to Hansen Dam. One house plus motor homes and outbuildings have burned. Smoke is drifting across the basin and we can smell it by the beach. High winds are coming across the region, says Indra Peterson on Channel 7: "Just the beginning of a very strong wind event." KABC 7
