LAT kudos on anthrax suicide

Executive editor John Arthur to the L.A. Times newsroom early this morning, about the paper's scoop on the suicide of anthrax suspect Bruce Ivins:

Kudos to Dave Willman, with an assist from Janet Lundblad, for a sustained and brilliant reporting job that resulted in today's anthrax story.

Reaction in the middle of the night, after we fed it to Tribune papers and then posted it, was immediate. Dave was quickly interviewed by the BBC and others.

The AP jumped on the story. This version is now on websites around the world and is LEADING the Washington Post's site. As you can see, we are fully credited.

John

Willman is an investigative reporter in the Washington bureau and Lundblad is a researcher for the bureau.
