Dodgers reeling

Torre looks for helpThis won't qualify as an epic collapse because the Dodgers weren't that good to begin with, but this el foldo might be etched into the memories of L.A. fans for a long time. The Dodgers lost again today to the worst team in either league and are 0-6 on a crucial, season-making road trip through the East. Manny Ramirez had two more hits, but hasn't driven home a run in nine games. The Dodgers put plenty of guys on base — 15, with three home runs — but Garciaparra and Kemp stranded four runners each. Greg Maddux gave it 5 and a third as the starting pitcher, but after the game even Dodger Talk radio guy Ken Levine said it looks like the 42-year-old has nothing left. All that said, the Dodgers are still just three games out of first and a playoff spot because the Arizona Diamondbacks have lost four straight themselves. Of course, Colorado is now only 2.5 three (by the end of the night) games behind the Dodgers.
