Gawker has posted a whole bunch of excerpts from the Washington, D.C. case that led to a restraining order against former L.A. Times rising star Andrés Martinez. OK, he's a jealous guy. But if the affidavits entered are accurate, he seems more deeply disturbed — calling the mother of ex-girlfriend Kelly Mullens a whore? Discussing his suicide? It all adds urgency to the question being asked around town since we posted on this mess yesterday afternoon: what could Martinez possibly hope to gain by suing Mullens and bringing all this out in the open? Martinez ignores his newly raised public profile (courtesy of himself) in today's post at his Washington Post political advice blog. Here's my post from last November when he got the gig.
