Big FBI training drill at UCLA

Flyer for drillTeams from the FBI, LAPD and other agencies are up on the residence hill at UCLA this morning for a large-scale training drill set in Rieber Hall, an empty dorm. The scenario has something to do with a shooting in or around the residence halls, with multiple victims. The media advisory warns that "students, faculty, staff and visitors may hear mock gunfire, flash-bang devices, sirens and shouting."

Add UCLA: Charles Ornstein, not yet gone from the L.A. Times, writes today that "even after UCLA Medical Center warned employees that it was cracking down on unauthorized access to medical records, the privacy of a 'well-known individual' was breached by two nurses and an emergency room technician who called up the patient's computerized records in mid-April."
