Geneva Overholser, former editor of the Des Moines Register, will be introduced Monday as the new director of the journalism school at the USC Annenberg School of Communication, according to a blog item by Larry Wilson, public editor of the Singleton newspapers in the San Gabriel Valley. Overholser would replace Michael Parks, the former L.A. Times editor who is stepping down as chair but remaining as a USC professor.
