New York Times (and former LAT) reporter Barry Bearak was released on bail and must stay in the country, either at a U.S. diplomatic residence or in a medical facility. "Mr. Bearak suffered some injuries as the result of a fall from his cell’s concrete bunk to the floor seven feet below," the NYT story says.
