Sam Zell

Zell's back in town

ZellAlert YouTube. Sam Zell makes his first public appearance in Los Angeles Thursday since all that foofah over his demeaning language — and the launch of a new era at the Times — and the departure of KTLA chief Vinnie Malcolm — and the strip club boomlet — and the warning that Tribune bonds are tanking. Zell will sit in conversation at the Hammer Museum in Westwood Village with Judy Olian, dean of the UCLA Anderson School of Management. It's at 7 pm and tickets are free and first-come, first-served.
