Getting out of town

With United Airlines announcing a systemwide fare sale, it seems like a good idea to mention some of the deals available from LAX. You have to purchase by Jan. 10, travel roundtrip and get back by March 6 for some destinations, March 14 for others. (JetBlue also has $149 one-way fares between Long Beach and NYC or Boston, $99 to Fort Lauderdale and $49 to Las Vegas or Oakland.) Sample United deals:
