We have a winner

SculptureAmy Alkon, the syndicated Advice Goddess and blogger, was the first reader to identify Charles Dickson's Martin Luther King Memorial in Watts. The sculpture bears the text of King's August 28, 1963 speech on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial in Washington. Tim McGarry blogged his impressions of the piece that's in a shopping center parking lot near East 103rd Street and Compton Avenue. He also took the photo. Here's a background story on Dickson.
