A jury yesterday recommended that Frank Lima should receive compensation from the city of Los Angeles after he argued that he suffered retaliation for refusing to give preferential treatment to a female recruit. "We are disappointed with the verdict and are considering our options," said Jonathan Diamond, a spokesman for the city attorney's office. Meanwhile, the Tennie Pierce case is still pending. DN
