Joseph Russin joins KTLA News as executive editor of planning. "Russin's responsibilities will include overseeing news coverage on-air and on the web, planning feature stories and supervising the work of the assignment desk, reporters and web site staff," says the email from station general manager Vinnie Malcolm. Russin had been the assistant managing editor at the Times in charge of web-ifying the newsroom — and coordinating with Channel 5 — until being kicked to the curb in late 2005.
