Snow falling where you are?

There's been some in the Santa Clarita area, apparently. (SCVTalk says it's hail.) The National Weather Service at 9:30 issued a winter weather advisory for the local mountains and the high desert.

The combination of cold air and showers will produce dangerous winter weather conditions....If you must travel today, be prepared for icy spots on roadways....

A combination of snow, sleet anmd freezing rain will continue across the mountains and the foothills of the Antelope Valley through the afternoon.

Snow level could fall to 2,500 feet. Check before attempting The Grapevine to see if the road is open. If it were me, I'd check on Highway 14 too before heading that way.
