Politico, the new politics website, has a nice early scoop. The site posted the full 140-page battle plan for the Rudy W. Giuliani presidential campaign that was reportedly lost in November. The pdf file lists Giuliani's schedule for the final three months for 2006, campaign budget and fundraising details, and his phone call list — with numbers and background notations. Among the Southern Californians who show up prominently are Bill Simon, the former Republican candidate for governor here who leads the Giuliani finance committee, and others:
→ Arte Moreno ("RWG attended the LA Angels game in his box during summer trip to LA")
→ George Argyros ("RWG had dinner with him while in LA with Bill Simon")
→ Alex Spanos ("Not sure where stands on '08 yet, per Bill Simon. We need him!")
→ David Murdock ("To support RWG and leadership in LA with Bill Simon")
→ Elliot Broidy ("Was a BC 04 Ranger...he's also a leadership [sic] in the Rep. Jewish Coalition (RJC)")
→ Doug Manchester ("We haven't met him yet...we cancelled roundtable he was going to host in San Diego.")
Yeah, RWG needs more sports savvy on staff. Spanos is ID'd as owner of the "LA Raiders" rather than the San Diego Chargers (or even the Oakland Raiders, which actually exist.) Hat tip to Political Muscle
