Gang murder of 3-year-old was "intentional"
Kaitlyn Avila was shot and her father wounded as they got out of their car Sunday in Baldwin Village. "This wasn't an accident or case of her getting caught in the fire," LAPD deputy chief Charles Beck said. "He intended to kill her. This was callous killing. It is beyond even what gangsters consider usual."
