John Andrews is leaving as West Coast editor and bureau chief here of The Economist. He's heading home after a career with the magazine that has taken him to posts in London, Singapore, Hong Kong, Brussels, Washington D.C. and Paris. Coming this way is Joel Budd, a former correspondent for The Independent who is currently on The Economist's Britain desk and who has been covering the aftermath of the London terrorist bombings.
