Business community 'concerned'

Brendan Huffman, president of the Valley Industry and Commerce Association, was one of the community leaders who signed last month's letter urging the Tribune company to reconsider cuts at the Los Angeles Times and to improve its commitment to local coverage. We were just together on Airtalk with Larry Mantle on KPCC and he said business leaders were quite chagrined at today's news that publisher Jeff Johnson was fired. "Everyone in the business community should be concerned," he said, adding that he felt Johnson had the Times going in the right direction.
