Not a good day for Tribune

In the aftermath of the letter from Warren Christopher and others urging the Tribune to shape up in Los Angeles or get out, today's report on August revenues finds the chain's newspapers down 2.3%. Mark Lacter at LA Biz Observed writes that "the elephant in the room was national advertising - down 11 percent due to 'weakness across most categories.'" Continued...
