Boeing will take steps to shut down the C-17 plant in Long Beach. How long before all evidence of the aerospace era is gone from Long Beach, like at Burbank and Santa Monica airports?
Andy Young apologizes
Former UN Ambassador Andrew Young resigned as a flack for Wal-Mart after being quoted in the Los Angeles Sentinel complaining that black neighborhoods had been victimized by outside shopkeepers: "First it was Jews, then it was Koreans and now it’s Arabs." Albert Robles' brother found dead
Mahatma Gandhi Robles was diving near a wreck three miles off the Port of Los Angeles when he did not return to the surface. His brother is the convicted former South Gate city treasurer. The coroner is investigating.
